Assistant Site Coordinator

M-Thursday 3:30-6:30pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Reports Directly to Site Coordinator

· -Ensures students are signed in daily

- Reports absences to Site Coordinator

· -Leads/creates Morning stretches games and routines

· -Organizes youth workers to ensure classrooms are set up

· -Responsible for lunch set up and clean up

· -Assist with restroom breaks and discipline when needed

· -teach/cover classes when needed

· -communicates with families/parents 

Qualifications:

· BA (preferably in Education) or college student majoring in Education

· Minimum of 2 years classroom experience/tutoring

· Must be timely and thorough.

· Must be a self-starter.

· Must be able to pass a background check FBI-BCI check

· Have the ability to work independently and also within a team setting.

Academic Tutors

Academic Tutor


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Academic tutor  and teacher assistant will provide academic assistance to students grades 2-8 from 


Location: 2800 E. RiverRd

Rate of pay: $35-$50 hourly based on experience/credentials.


Responsibilities:

● Reports to the Site Coordinator ● Arrive daily, on time, and prepared.

● Prepare materials for classes each day.

● Communicate with students to identify areas of strengths and weaknesses.

● Prepare weekly/monthly lesson plans based on current area of study.

● Communicate with parents as needed.

● Provide discipline and structure for small groups.

● Attend meetings and trainings.

● Assist with set up and clean up of class areas as needed.



Qualifications:

● Certified teacher is preferred but not required.

● Must have a  proof a BA or equivalent from a college or university, or currently working to complete a degree with experience working with students.

● Must be able to pass a background check (FBI and BCI)

●   Must be willing to attend trainings required to work with youth (CPR, First Aid, Child abuse training, etc)

● Strong communication and organizational skills


September 23, 2024-May 9, 2025.  (Training will begin the week prior)

Tutors will be assigned to two grade levels weekly in the areas of ELA or Math.

Times: 4:15pm-5:30pm

Requirements and skills

  • Proven work experience as a Social Worker

  • Ability to build and maintain professional helping relationships
  • Ability to relate and communicate with diverse population and groups
  • Resilience along with ability to assess situations
  • Willing to submit to background checks

Summer Camp Coordinator

Date

Monday-Friday 7:30am-3:15pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages the daily operations of the summer camp.

●  ELA- help establish curriculum and materials for ELA teachers, ensure pre and post assessments are implemented. Reports data to Program Manager.

●  Making sure kids are in classrooms during class 

●  Assisting with restroom breaks when needed 

●   Ensure schedule for students and teachers is being followed

●  Ensure the learning spaces are prepared and ready for student learning

●  Communicates  regularly with parents (establish Remind group)

●  Attend and help prepare meetings

●  May require a few late meetings for preparation. 

●  Organize parent volunteers for field trips/also attend all field trips o Assists Program Director when/where needed .

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have strong communication and organizational skills

Must be timely and thorough

Must be a self-starter

Have the ability to work independently and also within a team setting

Must have a flexible schedule ability to travel to the schools 2 times weekly

Must have a bachelor’s degree (preferably in Education), working toward a degree, or have experience 

Experience working with children and experience in management/leadership position

Summer Academic Instructor


Sumer Academic Instructor  will provide academic assistance to students grades 5-8  Instructors may  be assigned to two grade levels weekly in the areas of ELA or Math.

Times: varies

Days: Monday-Thursday

Location: 2800 E. RiverRd

●  Creates selection for Finale Showcase July 19, 2024

●  Must be presents for Finale Showcase July 19, 2024

●  Provide discipline and structure for small groups.

●  Attend meetings and trainings.

●  Assist with set up and clean up of class areas as needed.

Qualifications

●  Must be skilled in area of expertise via educational background and or experience 

●   Experience working with students.

●  Must be able to pass a background check (FBI and BCI)

●  Must be willing to attend trainings required to work with youth (CPR, First Aid, Child abuse training, etc)

●  Strong communication and organizational skills.
